Coffman Cove Alaska

The tail begins on a hot summer day in Coffman Cove Alaska!
Robert and his Fishing Buddy also known as Grandpa Jesse,
left Coffman Cove heading for Wrangell to get gas for the boat.....

Jesse's New Toy!

Halibut Story in Coffman Cove

 Boys will be boys!

The trip went well, and the gas tanks were full so why not go fishing, after all it is what they do best! They dropped the lines just outside of Coffman Cove at a place called the Triplets 5 minutes after the hooks were dropped, Robert hooked what we call a Barn Door! With lots of assistance and pull from grandpa, the 14 year old fisherman (Robert) had his prize fish.
40 minutes of fighting and 2 harpoons later they had the fish ready to take home.

Needless to say the tow in was a listing moment and
Robert was truly ready on the approach to the dock. Estimating the fish weighed in at 300 lb., Robert was dying to measure the fish to know for sure!
